What is psychology?

Psychology is the scientific study of mind, emotions and behaviour. Psychologists understand and explain human functioning through biological, psychological and social factors. All psychologists in Australia are required to complete tertiary education and training in psychology, as well as ongoing supervision and professional development. Clinical Psychologists undertake further education and training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions.

How do I make an appointment?

You can contact Kristelle via email, mobile, or through the contact form on the website to discuss how she may be able to support you. After gathering some initial information, Kristelle will schedule an appointment for you either in person or via telehealth.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

Reminders are sent 48 hours before your appointment and give you the opportunity to cancel or reschedule if necessary. Please note that if an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, a cancellation fee applies. The fee assists with the cost of the missed appointment and the time spent preparing for it.

What is the cost of an assessment?

Please contact Kristelle. An individualised quote will be prepared regarding the assessment need. Assessments are quoted according to the amount of time required to provide a comprehensive assessment, including travel, observations, interviews, assessment scoring, and clinical report writing time.

Who can diagnose autism?

An Australian guideline for the diagnosis and assessment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) was published in 2018. This aims to make autism assessment and diagnosis more consistent across the country. Kristelle is a Clinical Psychologist, and her Single Diagnostic Assessment reports may be provided to the NDIS as evidence for eligibility applications.
